One of our favourite bloggers, Jess Ward, put together a recipe for Strawberry Shortcake overnight oats. If you try it out, don’t forget to take us using #betterbreakfast
For the oats:
½ cup of rolled oats
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1tsp of honey
Almond milk or water (this will be for the oats to soak in)
½ a packet of Real Handful Strawberry Stomp
3 tsp of chia seeds
Topping:
Mixed frozen berries
Strawberry jam
Leftover Real Handful Strawberry Stomp
Method:
Place all of the ingredients for the overnight oats into a sealable container (old glass jars work great for this!). Add enough almond milk to cover the oats – adding extra milk or water allows the oats and chia seeds to soak up the goodness and in a result of this they will expand and become fluffy. Ensure all of the ingredients are well combined and then put the top on the container and place into the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Once the oats and chia seeds have absorbed the liquid, top with your favourites: mixed frozen berries, strawberry jam and Strawberry Stomp are great toppings! Crunch and sweetness.
